International Women’s Day: Strike the Pose for #BalanceforBetter 2019 Campaign

Posted by

International Women’s Day is a globally recognized day occurring annually on March 8th, celebrating the social, political, cultural and economic achievements of women around the world and calls to action the advancement of gender balance and equality. This year’s theme is #BalanceforBetter and asks of the global community, “How can you forge a more gender-balanced world? … From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. We notice its absence and celebrate its presence.” The campaign runs all year long, not just today, but it’s a great day to start sharing your support!

International Women’s Day Case Studies of Inspiring Women

I’m celebrating International Women’s Day 2019 by reaching out to all my woman-run entrepreneur friends who are rocking their business skills and talents. I’m super proud to know a lot of women who are running their own businesses in my community. I’m also reaching out to my teacher friends with this FREE, downloadable International Women’s Day fact sheet and case studies about inspiring women role models.

By working together in our communities and beyond, we can collectively push for a more gender-balanced world. Starting in 1911, the first International Women’s Day was supported by over one million people across the world. The day does not belong to any one country, organization or group and calls for us to motivate ourselves and others to stand up for equality and for women everywhere.

Strike the #BalanceforBetter pose and share your #IWD2019 message on your blog and/or social media accounts to get this year’s message moving!
